In August 2003 when I was 38 and 30 weeks pregnant with my second daughter I was diagnosed with breast cancer. It was a devastating, frightening and isolating time compounded by the fact that I didn’t meet anyone in similar situation.
Although I have no medical training I have experienced the treatments, side effects and heartache that a diagnosis of cancer brings. From these experiences I decided that I wanted to support others so that when others find themselves facing the cancer journey they will know that they are not alone.
